CARVANS FOR ISRAEL
The uniqueness of this program is the shlichim, emerging leaders
from Israel's strongly Zionist anglo community for whom this shlichut is an internship built into the core curriculum of their leadership training program in Jerusalem's Beit Midrash Sulam Yaakov.
Programs will include a combination of exhibits, dialogues/debates, multi media presentations, beit midrash study and headline speakers on topics ranging from the arts to the teachings of Rav Kook, from the current political situation to the environment to women in Israel.
Caravan for Israel:
Monday, May 3rd - Wednesday, May 12th, 2010
Two young married couples (emissaries from Israel) will be presenting a variety of programs throughout this period, and are available for synagogues, schools, chavurot and other Jewish institutions. The theme of this Caravan is Jerusalem; the Caravan will culminate with a special Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day) celebration on May 12. It will be perfect for people of all ages, backgrounds and connections to Israel. Highlights will include:
• A full menu of innovative program possibilities from which to choose
• An Israel Program Fair
• An introduction to the unique and personalized services of JERNY's Israel Resource Center
• Some unique opportunities to "keep in touch".
